"Mostly Dead" or "Slightly Alive"

Such is the reality of the tadpole our family began to enthusiastically nurture yesterday afternoon.

After receiving this gift from church friends, I snuck Speedy IN MY PURSE while our family went to see Beauty and the Beast at our local high school. I didn't want him to boil as he sat in our car for the duration. However, the price for this act of PETA kindness did, in fact, cost me a wet purse.

Now, it seems that Speedy has received a bit too much attention and is now in the in between throes of "Mostly Dead" or "Slightly Alive" according to two of his most avid nurturers.
