I understand, but you just don't do this!

A Florida couple hosted three girls through Frontier Horizon this summer, but instead of returning them at the agreed upon date, they claimed that one of the girls had a virus and was too sick to travel.  Now they have filed for guardianship of the girls in an attempt to adopt them without going through all the rigors of the adoption process.  This is kidnapping.   Understandably, Ukraine is very upset.  Certainly this couple's actions could impact the future of hosting programs, but it could also impact international adoptions, including ours.

Mr. Vander Maten, I understand, really I do.  I felt the SAME way last summer when it was time to put Katya on the plane to send her back to Odessa.  But, keeping her and attempting to circumvent the law was not an option.  Do the right thing.  Return the girls, not only for their sake, but for the sake of hundreds of children whose futures are being impacted by your actions.
