Looking beyond our situation

is always good.  I often am reminded that when  I get my eyes off of myself and onto Jesus, the One who authored and is perfecting my faith, my feelings of self-pity begin to evaporate.  The sadness is still there, but the world is not so gray and I'm able to begin to see beyond myself. 

In just a few days, cuties from Ukraine will arrive at JFK and make their way to various pockets of Americana.  It was on June 19th last year, that we picked up Katya at Dulles Airport. 

 

And our lives were changed  ...

So, on June 22nd, precious ones arrive.  Several hosting families have had to pull out and there are a few kids who still need families.  Could this be you?  You know, when I heard about these three this morning, for about 20 seconds, I wondered if it was us.  But, not this year.  This year is about us working to adopt Katya.  But, it could be you.

Introducing ...

Kateryna (that's also Katya's full name.)  This brown-eyed beauty is 13 years old.

This precious sister/brother team - Alyona (12)  and Valeriy (11).  They come together.
