Tamara's court date ...
will be May 12. Following her court date, there will be a 10-day waiting period. So, on May 26 or 27 (because weekends don't count for the 10-day waiting period), Tamara can pick up the court decree and take it to the city administration. Then, the city administation issues a paper that Dima, our facilitator, submits to the State Department on Adoption and Children's Rights (SDA). It is at this point that we will know whether Dima can submit our dossier, or whether we have to wait 14 months.
Here's how you can pray:
1. That Tamara's court appearance will go smoothly and there will be no glitches.
2. That Tamara will be able to pick up the court order the day that it's available and take it directly to the city administration without any delays
3. The the SDA will favorably view this situation and consider Katya's "adoptability" status from her initial registration in March 2007. This would mean that we travel this summer, anytime after May.
We're ready to bring this little girl home!
