Techno-Chick Skips Town

Adelyn, my family photographer, fashionista, and techno-chick, skipped town this weekend with her sister, Grace, to visit friends in Charlottesville. What this means is:

1.  I don't have the resource I promised you in a download.  Rather's it's in a page along the top of the blog.  You can copy and paste it into a document.  Or, you can email me at cynthiafin@gmail.com and I'll send it to you as an attachment.
2.  I don't have a picture to show you of my new-and-improved Duct Tape Bible.  Looking at the pictures from Monday, I realized some repairs were needed.

It was one of those moments when you look at a picture of yourself and realization hits.

  • You need your roots touched up.
  • You need to throw away that comfy sweater and leggings.
  • Or, worst of all, you really do need to lose 10 pounds.

You're sort of looking at the picture thinking, "Maybe it's not so bad," when a good friend, a really good friend tells you, "It really is that bad."

That happened to me on Tuesday.  My sweet friend, Carolyn, suggested a Duct Tape Renewal Process for my Bible.  Off to Michael's I went.  Instead of doing laundry or fixing dinner, I fixed my Bible.  Now it is beautiful, feels great, and won't fall apart when you pick it up.

Next week, when my techno-chick, fashionista, photographer is back home, I'll show you a picture.

3.  Over the weekend, I'll be working on content for the site, primarily pages.  Pages like About Me, Speaking, Our Family, Caring for Orphans, and Resources.  Any other pages you'd like to see?  I'd like get the "Followers" thingy to really reflect the number of "Followers" that show up on my dashboard.  Honestly, I'd like to get rid of the "Followers" thingy. But, I might have to wait until Techno-Chick returns.

Now, since my Photographer-Fashionista-Techno-Chick skipped town, I think I'll slide back into that comfy sweater and leggings and curl up with Unshaken.

So email me at cynthiafin@gmail.com if you'd like  Basic, Simple, Straightforward Quiet Times - Philippians sent to you as an attachment, or just have a question for me that you don't want to post here.  I'd love to hear what you think about Basic, Simple, Straightforward Quiet Times.  And, if you want to step in as my Techno-Chick and help me out with the "Followers" thing, that would be great.
