A weighty week - please pray
We are ready to bring this little girl home.
The prayers are increasing in intensity in our household. Tears are near the surface as we rejoice with precious friends who are with their children right now and long for the day when we'll have Katya with us. Often the children say, "Katya will LOVE doing this when she comes home."
On Monday, Liliya picks up the court documents in Odessa and overnight mails them to Kiev. Dima receives them on Tuesday. He firsts submits them to the SDA (the governmental office that handles adoptions) and meets the Deputy Director to find out if he can submit our dossier OR if we will have to wait for 14 months. IF the Deputy Director gives Dima the green light, he will register our dossier and the submit it on date that they give him. According to Dima, for the older kids, this happens very fast.
So, here are the bullet point prayers:
1. No glitches with mailing the court documents.
2. God to prepare the heart of the Deputy Director to see the situation in it's entirety rather than quickly dismiss the request according to the letter of the law.
3. God to give Dima supernatural wisdom and insight to know how to best state our case before the Deputy Director.
I don't know how the timing will work, but as soon as I have information I will post. Please pray and, as you feel led, ask others to pray as well. We are more than ready to bring our daughter home.
