This is SO not Twitter, but ...
because inquiring minds want to know, here are details:
1. Bill was able to notarize the doctors' licenses at our bank rather than the one I tried yesterday. Yes, Leslie, our wonderful doctors and their staff will be receiving something yummy.
2. Bill has apostilled everything except our MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. While I was explaining apostilling to the kiddoes this morning, it occurred to me that this could be a problem. Because we have several "original" (how can there be more than one "original?") marriage certificates, we just included one of these. However, we were married in NC so it has to be apostilled in NC. Fortunately a pair of the grandparents live in Raleigh so they can take care of this for us. It just won't go out with this set of documents but will go out along with the I171-H and STATE criminal clearances, when they arrive.
3. Bill is enroute searching for Maggie Scobie. Even with his fancy-schmancy i-phone, he has needed ME to be his GPS. :) They are trying to connect at some restaurant in Aldie, VA.
Other news:
Katya has been sent to a "children's sanatorium" for three weeks. I have NO idea what this means and you can imagine that this mother's heart is just longing to get her HERE where she can see our wonderful doctors. Anyone out there who can enlighten me on what is a "children's sanatorium?" Please pray for God's protection of Katya.
Tamara, Katya's grandmother, has assured Liliya, our translator, that she is signing papers tomorrow. Perhaps this recent sickness, as hard as it is, is part of God's plan for moving Katya out of an institution and into a family.
We did talk with Katya on Saturday - Bill, me, and ALL the kids. It still is too tender for me to write about, so I'm focusing on tasks. Once I can, I will write.
